Currently, a study is being conducted at IKEM in cooperation with the University Hospital Motol to verify a uterine transplantation method.
The study is focused not only on uterine transplantation from living donors, but also from deceased donors.
The study protocol includes inclusion criteria both for the recipients and donors.
The main study inclusion criteria for recipients include but are not limited to:
- Childless without a possibility of having her own baby
- Age up to 40 years
The fulfilment of these criteria is not an automatic condition for enrolment in the study. Each of the potential recipients who fulfils these conditions and contacts us expressing an interest in uterine transplantation receives a questionnaire. Based on its evaluation the subject may be referred for additional assessments to ascertain her suitability for uterine transplantation and possible enrolment in the study.
