You can become a patient of our department upon the referral of your treating doctor – cardiologist. The range of the indicating doctor is not limited by the region – i.e. you can be our patient no matter what part of the country you come from.
If your treating doctor does not want to refer you to our department for any reason although you wish to receive our treatment, you should request your documentation if possible, a CD of your catheterisation record and directly contact our department (secretariat of the director) by letter, by phone, fax or e-mail. If necessary, all assessments can be done at our Cardiology Centre.
It may happen that you were indicated for a surgery and the local cardiosurgical centre refused you because of a high risk of the surgery. In such case you can contact us as well because given our experience of the reference centre, we are able to operate even on very high-risk patients. We will assess your case very carefully, perform additional examinations as needed in order to specify your health condition and the benefit of a potential surgery and then decide on subsequent possible steps.
