The Anaesthesiology and Resuscitation Department (ARD) provides specialised care in the fields of anaesthesiology and intensive care to patients at the IKEM Cardiology Centre. We provide our care at 4 operating theatres, 16 intensive care beds of the highest category and at a number of other IKEM units.
In the course of surgical, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures we provide general and local anaesthesia (analgesia); at the same time, we provide intensive care – securing of vital functions, their monitoring and support.
