In the field of clinical medicine, the Hepatogastroenterology Department focuses primarily on providing comprehensive internal backup for the liver transplant program: Selection of recipients and their examination, monitoring and treatment of patients on the waiting list, treatment of some post-transplant complications. This department also serves as a super-consulting workplace covering a whole range of fields with special focus on all liver and pancreatic diseases, tumours, and non-specific inflammation of the bowel.
